LIFE Open Woods, Improvement of the conservation status of forest habitats with a focus on Osmoderma eremita

The project aims to improve the conservation status of app. 1.855 ha of 9 forest habitat types (9110, 9120, 9130, 9150, 9160, 9170, 9190, 91D0, 91E0) in 20 N2000 sites in Denmark by improvement of their structure and ecological function (increased deadwood, higher structural variation and dynamic, increase of sun exposition of forest floor, control of invasive species, improvement of hydrological conditions, increased area and connection of forest habitats.
